Accessibility Plan

Land Acknowledgement

The NLSC would like to respectfully acknowledge the territory in which we gather, as the ancestral home-lands of the Beothuk and the island of Newfoundland as the ancestral homelands of the Mi’kmaq and Beothuk. The NLSC would also like to recognize the Inuit of Nunatsiavut and NunatuKavut and the Innu of Nitassinan, and their ancestors, as the original people of Labrador. We strive for respectful partnerships with all the peoples of this province as we search for collective healing and true reconciliation and honour this beautiful land together.

Welcome Message

The NL Sports Centre (NLSC) is dedicated to ensuring that everyone in our community has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of sport and recreation. Our Accessibility Plan is designed to remove barriers and create an inclusive environment where athletes of all abilities can participate and thrive and their community can turn out to support them without obstacles. The NLSC Accessibility Plan focuses on creating an environment where individuals of all abilities can participate in sports and recreational activities comfortably and confidently. From accessible parking and entrances to visual and auditory aids, we're committed to removing barriers and promoting equal opportunities for everyone to enjoy the benefits of sport and physical activity. The NLSC Accessibility Plan will consistently work to identify, remove and prevent barriers by outlining short and long-term commitments to improve accessibility now and into the future. We believe that diversity strengthens our community, and by promoting accessibility, we can enrich the lives of all who enter our facilities. Together, let's make every activity, every game, and every moment enjoyable and accessible for all. Welcome to the NL Sports Centre.
